The Pulse Influencer Awards were designed by Pulse to provide a platform for influencers to be noticed, recognized and celebrated, bringing together engaged members of the digital community, established/rising influencers and the continent’s biggest brands.
As Africa’s most innovative media company, Pulse sits at the nexus of digital, news and culture. The Pulse Influencer Awards were established to encourage the influencer trend which we saw to be building momentum. Digital influencers in Africa have become an important catalyst in the continent’s digital transformation. Influencers have a positive effect on the landscape, growing engagement on social platforms and driving amplification for the niches they focus on.
In Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Senegal, we called for nominations (and subsequently, votes) for top influencers in a total of 25 categories, representing the most popular niches.
