Lagos, Nigeria – Pulse, Africa’s leading innovative media company, has announced that the second edition of the Pulse Influencer Awards will hold. The Pulse Influencer Awards have now become a yearly celebration of creativity, innovation and digital community building. The award aims to recognize individuals who have leveraged social media to spread an idea and/or amplify and distribute value among other users, growing a large community in the process. This year, the Pulse Influencer Awards finale event comes up on October 15th, 2022 and voting commences on the country websites on Monday, September 5, 2022.
The Pulse Influencer Awards will be held in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Senegal and will now expand into Pulse’s 2 new markets Uganda and Côte d’Ivoire. This guarantees a cumulative increase in participation and reach of the awards, as well as in the number of new nominees and new awards presented.
Across its 6 operating markets in Africa, Pulse has demonstrated commitment to original digital creators and in many cases has helped to amplify their original content. With the launch and establishment of the Pulse Influencers Network, Pulse has provided a platform for corporate partners to collaborate with influencers on the network on marketing and amplification campaigns, which is a win-win for the partners and influencers.
Speaking on the Pulse Influencer Awards 2022, Kanyinsola Aroyewun, Director of Marketing and Content Growth said “Once again, we’re excited to engage influencers and their communities around Africa, recognizing the most prolific creators across our different categories. In this edition, we’ve added two new markets, Uganda and Côte d’Ivoire. It will be great to see the buildup this year in both the old and new markets and how the audiences will vote. On our way to informing and engaging young Africans, we’re excited about these initiatives that help to shine the light on Africa’s biggest creators.”
